Mr./Ms. Speaker, Dear Colleague,

Acting on the mandate of the Fourth General Assembly of the International Parliamentarians' Association for Information Technology, the Parliament of Finland has the honour of inviting your Parliament to send a delegation to attend the Fifth General Assembly of the IPAIT, convening at the Finnish Parliament from January 14 to January 17, 2007.

The Preparatory Committee of the Conference has drafted a programme which you will find attached to this invitation in its present, preliminary form. The focus of the deliberations will be on Human Competency Development in the Information Society. The programme consists of science, official IPAIT affairs and business visits. At a later stage, the final programme will be put on the website of the Conference www.parliament.fi/IPAIT2007.

May I ask you kindly to forward the names of your delegates, by using the registration form on the above-mentioned website, not later than December 14, 2006. Also the deadline for hotel reservations is 14.12.2006. The passwords needed to be able to register have been sent through mail.
