Calendar of events

The centennial will focus on the parliamentary reform of the early 20th century and the introduction of equal and universal suffrage and full political rights for women. The centennial will be celebrated nationally and internationally, as well as bilingually in Finnish and Swedish.

Themes and events will emphasize the national perspective, encouraging young people to participate, the future and getting out the vote. Special respect and gratitude will be shown to older generations and war veterans during the centennial.
