Portraits and photos of Speakers
Portraits of Speakers will be on display in an exhibition 13.6.-26.8.2007 in the National Museum of Finland.

Parliament's collection includes 33 portraits of Speakers, with the oldest ones dating back to the Diet in the 1870s and 1880s.

The latest portrait was painted by Pasi Tammi in 2003 and depicts Speaker Riitta Uosukainen.

Travelling exhibition
In connection with the centennial a travelling exhibition will look at Parliament's role and significance in Finnish society.

The exhibition has been built around different themes and will visit regional libraries and other places. English, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Chinese and Greek versions will also be sent to other countries.

Buildings and facilities used by Parliament
In summer 2006 there was an exhibition in the Parliament Annex presenting the buildings where Parliament has met during the past 100 years.

Documents and photos displayed the temporary facilities that were used by Parliament in its early years. The exhibition presented Parliament House, which was completed in 1931, together with its expansions and annexes, the newest of which was completed in 2004.
