Studia Generalia lecture series at the Universities of Helsinki, Jyväskylä and Turku
A series of six lectures on the subject "Parliament 100 Years - Challenges for Democracy" were arranged at the University of Helsinki, February 2nd – March 9th 2006.

In University of Jyväskylä were held the lecture series on the theme "Äänioikeus, demokratia, parlamentarismi" (Right to vote, Democracy, Parliamentarism), March 2nd – April 24th 2006.

Lecture series on the theme "Suomalainen kansanvalta 100
vuotta" (One hundred years of Finnish democracy) were held in University of Turku, January 12th – April 6th 2006.

All lectures were open to the public.

Parliament celebrates its centennial in 2006-2007
The centennial focuses on the parliamentary reform of the early 20th century and the introduction of equal and universal suffrage and full political rights for women. The centennial will be celebrated nationally and internationally, as well as bilingually in Finnish and Swedish.
