SuomiAreena brought together citizens, political figures and business leaders to discuss timely issues. On July 19th party chairmen participated in a panel that marked the start of the 2007 parliamentary elections. On July 20th the Committee for the Future hosted the Democracy 2100 event and the Grand Committee a seminar on the future of the EU. Numerous other events also arranged by trade, business, media, sports, culture and youth organizations. Page top \| Printable version	Parliament celebrates its centennial in 2006-2007 The centennial focuses on the parliamentary reform of the early 20th century and the introduction of equal and universal suffrage and full political rights for women. The centennial will be celebrated nationally and internationally, as well as bilingually in Finnish and Swedish.
