The Norwegian Parliament's Delegation Visits Finland

The arctic delegation of the Norwegian Parliament Stortinget will visit Rovaniemi and Helsinki from April 8 to April 10. In Rovaniemi, the delegation gets to know the Arctic Centre at the University of Lapland, as well as to discuss with the mayor Esko Lotvonen about issues related to Barents region economic cooperation.

Number of Electoral Districts to Be Reduced

On Wednesday, 6 March 2013, Parliament approved an amendment to the Election Act as a result of which the number of electoral districts in Finland (excluding Åland) will be reduced from 14 to 12. The amendment was approved by a vote of 83–63.
