International Cooperation and Organs

Parliamentary delegations of the Eduskunta – Parliament of Finland – actively participate in international cooperation. MPs contribute to the work of several international parliamentary assemblies and networks. Eduskunta also hosts more than one hundred visits by foreign parliamentary delegations annually to offer an introduction to the functioning of the Finnish parliamentary system. Correspondingly Finnish MPs make frequent visits and study trips abroad. Eduskunta has got approximately sixty unofficial friendship groups.

The international cooperation of the Eduskunta is coordinated from the International Department. The secretariats of the parliamentary delegations are situated in the department.
