The 200 elected Members of Parliament enact legislation, approve the state budget, oversee the Government and administration and deal with EU and international matters.
Around 125 accredited journalists and 75 photographers regularly cover parliamentary work. In addition hundreds of other journalists and tens of photographers visit Parliament to interview MPs or cover the handling of a particular matter.
