Visitor's centre


The Visitor's Centre operates in the Little Parliament. At the Visitor's Centre you will find information about Parliament and the European Union. You can watch videos about the Parliament or read brochures. The staff provides information and answers questions. Other facilities offered in the Visitor's Centre include a café and 6 computers from which you can access the Internet free of charge.

The Legislators - an educational game of legislative work

In the Visitor's Centre it is also possible to play the game Lainsäätäjät (The Legislators), which is targeted for young people. Lainsäätäjät is a new and innovative way to study the legislative process, parliamentarism and politics. The game guides the player through the Finnish legislative process. The game can be played at the Visitor's Centre as a multiplayer game or in the Internet as a single-player game. The internet address for the game is www.lainsaatajat.fi. The game is available in Finnish and Swedish.

Information about the EU

Also the Foreign Ministry's Europe Information office in Helsinki operates in the Visitor's Centre. The Europe Information office produces and distributes information about European integration and the Finnish membership in the European Union. The approach is national and the aim is to offer a wide range of material and different views concerning the EU to support public debate.

Opening hours

The Visitor's Centre is open Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The address of the Visitor's Centre is Arkadiankatu 3, Helsinki.
Guided tours
Saturdays 11 a.m. and 12:30 noon, Sundays 12 noon and 13:30 p.m.
